If so, then this EYFS Support Assistant position in an Outstanding Primary School in Camden is perfect for you! You will be supporting young people while obtaining a first-class experience within the classroom. This is a full-time role for the full academic year starting September 2024!
As an EYFS Support Assistant, you will be working alongside 3-5-year-olds within the classroom while also providing additional support to the SEN pupils in 1:1 and group settings. You will be working to support students' inclusion in learning and daily classroom routines to ensure their individual needs are met and to break down the invisible barriers to education.
If you are passionate about becoming a Primary Teacher and looking to gain experience before going on your Teacher Training or PGCE then this role is perfect for you!
EYFS Support Assistant: JOB SPEC
1. Working with pupils across EYFS classes
2. Assisting the Teacher to ensure appropriate learning and behaviour expectations are met by the students
3. Leading 1:1 and group intervention sessions for pupils (English, Maths, Phonics)
4. Additionally supporting SEN pupils through the lessons (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
5. September 2024 Start - Full-time position
6. £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
7. Based in the borough of Camden

EYFS Support Assistant: APPLICANT SPEC
1. Hold a degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant course from a reputable University
2. Previous experience working with young people (Babysitting, Nannying etc)
3. Experience managing young people with complex learning needs (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
4. Be able to communicate effectively and work efficiently as a wider team
5. Have a genuine passion for education and supporting young people
6. Ideal for those with aspirations to become a qualified Teacher
