As a Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role in design management for Transformational Programmes supporting critical UK infrastructure, with opportunities on iconic engineering projects nationally and internationally.
We specialise in river and coastal engineering across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We deliver comprehensive solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. If you're passionate about this industry, we want to hear from you.
Opportunities are available in our Glasgow office.
Your Purpose:
* Deliver high-quality technical design work following relevant standards and codes.
* Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
* Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
* Understand, communicate, and manage project risks.
* Maintain adherence to quality assurance standards in design.
What you can bring:
* Chartered Civil Engineer.
* Experience leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary and Design & Build projects.
* Knowledge of coastal defenses, flood walls, embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, accessibility, and logistics.
* Familiarity with UK design standards, guidance, and practices.
* Ability to deliver both traditional and environmentally focused, nature-based solutions.
* Strong commercial, contractual, and program management experience.
