This is a part-time role as an Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist at Elysium Healthcare, a new 12-bedded CAMHS service in Surrey. The successful candidate will work alongside a talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes for young people aged 13-18 with general mental health Tier 4 presentations including disordered eating.
Main duties of the job
As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for reviewing referrals, conducting admission assessments, maintaining effective management plans, assessing physical health, and facilitating regular CPA review meetings. You will also act as the Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act and be involved in quality, inspection, and governance processes.
Job responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
* Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission
* Conduct admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit
* Conduct risk assessments and review regularly
* Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
* Assess physical health
* Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams
* Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
* Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes
You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.
To be successful in this role, you'll need
* Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice
* Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders desirable

Qualifications
* Registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice. Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders is desirable.
