Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3 or 5-axis vertical milling using CAD/CAM and be familiar with Heidenhain Control machines. We value inclusive and diverse workplaces and encourage all qualified individuals to apply.
Responsibilities
1. Set up and operate 3 or 5-axis vertical milling machines
2. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
3. Use CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths
4. Complete in-process inspections and maintain quality standards
5. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
6. Adhere to safety and quality regulations
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in CNC milling, specifically with 3 or 5-axis machines
2. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, including NCG, Strategist, or Hypermill
3. Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
4. Familiarity with Heidenhain Control systems
5. Strong attention to detail and quality
6. Excellent problem-solving skills
7. Good verbal and written communication skills

Day-to-day
As a CNC Miller, your day-to-day tasks will include setting up and operating CNC milling machines, using CAD/CAM software to generate toolpaths, conducting in-process inspections, and troubleshooting any machining issues. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality production.
Package
Rates vary depending on experience, from $15 to $24 per hour. Night shifts carry a 25% premium.
40 hours per week contract (40 or 48 on nights over 4 days).
Overtime paid at 1.5x after contracted hours worked.
