SENCo required in Enfield Do you have experience supporting students with SEN? We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated SENCo to join a secondary school in Enfield on a permanent basis from September. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the school is fully inclusive and responsive to the needs of all students with additional educational requirements. The Role – SENCo The successful SENCo will oversee the provision of support for students with special educational needs, ensuring that their individual needs are met, and progress is regularly reviewed. Lead and manage the Learning Support Department, including supporting and mentoring Teaching Assistants (TAs) and other staff members. Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans. Monitor the progress of students with special educational needs and ensure effective intervention strategies are in place. Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff on best practices for inclusive teaching and learning. Ensure that the school is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation. Lead on the identification and assessment of students with SEN, maintaining detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
