Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Receivable Assistant at NMSB in New Milton. The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for billing processes, credit control, invoicing, and utilizing analytical skills to support the finance team in managing accounts receivable. Duties will include; Posting payments received and allocating accurately against the relevant invoices and / or credit notes, resolving discrepancies to ensure that reported account balances are accurate, correctly aged and fairly stated. Monitor and maintain assigned customer accounts ensuring timely payments are received. Proactively contact customers to collect overdue payments via telephone, email, and text in line with collections processes and policies. Prepare and present regular reports on outstanding debts, customer to go on stop and potential debt collection action cases to Sales Ledger Supervisor. Process account applications, perform credit checks and prepare for approval. New customer record creation within internal systems. Perform credit checks and gather trading history to present for credit limit reviews. Maintain accurate activity notes in internal systems. Process card payments. Maintain customer database. Maintain accurate activity notes in internal systems. Build and development strong relationships with all stakeholders. Support and assist the invoicing function of the department. Assisting the Sales Ledger Supervisor in ensuring that AR period end close requirements are completed accurately and in accordance with the agreed close timelines. Assist in the company’s invoice financing function. General admin, filing and record management.
