We are looking for an individual to join our team of Multi-Skilled Housekeepers, working at SPARC Norfolk Park Road.
The post is to work with a team of multi-skilled housekeepers, working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota. Shifts are between the hours of 7am - 3pm when working on the wards and 10am - 6pm when working within the kitchen.
Applicants must be self-motivated, good communicators, and have a flexible approach to working practices as they will be required to work various shifts in catering and cleaning, including cleaning patient bedrooms, offices, catering, preparing meals, and serving meals.
The role includes preparing patient meals, serving meals, cleaning patient rooms, communal areas, offices, discharge cleans, and deep cleans using an HPV machine.
Relevant cleaning and catering experience and a basic food hygiene certificate are desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.
This post is based at SPARC Norfolk Park Road S2 3QE.

Main duties of the job
* General cleaning of all corridors, clinical and non-clinical areas, sanitary areas, and internal windows in the unit, according to work schedules.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times.
* Abide by all COSHH regulations and colour coding.
* Ensure strict confidentiality concerning patients and their visitors.
* Work within the Catering Service Framework and in accordance with statutory Food Hygiene Policies.
* Prepare food items for patients, ensuring presentation, portion control, and service delivery meet food quality standards.
* Regenerate patients' food according to menus and special dietary needs (e.g., diabetic diet, gluten-free diet, soft diet).
* Follow the regeneration process, ensuring food items are served at the correct temperature and quality checks are maintained.
* Ensure the security of the building at all times.
* Carry out duties with due regard for Health and Safety and COSHH.
* Attend all mandatory training and retraining sessions regarding Health and Safety.
* Attend essential training and manual handling training in line with Trust policy.

SPARC Beech Hill Intermediate Care Rehabilitation is a 31-bedded therapy-led unit for stroke patients requiring further rehabilitation and assessment to achieve maximum independence and return home or to a place of their choice.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent experience.
* NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Domestic related studies.
Experience
* Previous NHS or similar experience in a Domestic/catering role.
* Experience in a similar type role.
Further Training
* Health & Safety and COSHH training.
* Experience working with cleaning chemicals.
* Ability to work under supervision and instruction.
* Ability to show initiative.
