Key Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out the valuation of financial instruments.
2. Reconciliation of cash and investment holdings to those seen in custodian or asset manager records.
3. Daily calculation and execution of creations and liquidations.
4. Calculation, monitoring and accounting for expense accruals.
5. Ensuring accurate accounting for fund income.
6. Processing daily banking reconciliations, liaising with Senior Accountant with any discrepancies.
7. Keeping up to date with corporate action ensuring monitoring & processing where necessary.
8. Identification and examination of unit pricing anomalies.
9. Execution of daily cash sweeps at custody.
10. Carrying out all accounting requirements for investment trades.
11. Liaison with custody and asset managers to independently solve ad-hoc issues.
12. Develop and test both workbooks and methodologies for each of the above as needed.
13. Support junior team members where necessary.
14. Liaise with senior leadership and key stakeholders where required.
15. Preparation of regulatory reporting.
16. Month end general ledger reconciliations.
The successful candidate will ideally have an accountancy or finance-related degree with experience using unit pricing software and taking general ledger to trial balance stage and preparation of monthly control accounts. You will also have proven experience of processing incoming and outgoing transactions and recording these appropriately coupled with strong analytical and Excel skills. You will be able to prioritise tasks effectively with strong written and oral communication skills.
