As our Area Financial Controller you will be accountable for providing accurate and timely accounting across our manufacturing sites. Other activities include implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets, accuracy of inventory and expense charges, and maintaining the reporting and recording of all production activity (raw materials, conversions, and finished goods). This position looks after sites in the UK including Sheffield and Bolton and also two others sites within Europe, one in Germany and one in Poland. There is an expectation that the position is remote with travel to one of the sites for 1 week a month (25% travel). Ideally a UK based person would be best suited due to the amount of work on the UK sites. This position is ideal for someone with accounting experience and qualifications and excellent stakeholder engagement and people management experience. Knowledge and experience of manufacturing an advantage. In the role you will be responsible for Develop Annual Operating S&E and Capital Budgets for multiple direct and indirect plants. Prepare monthly Account Reconciliations to be reviewed quarterly with the Plant Managers and Regional Controller. Prepare the sites monthly financial forecasts. Be responsible for the monthly close of financial data to the General Ledger. Prepare monthly site financial reports. Develop and review internal controls to protect assets, maintain accuracy in records, comply with GAAP, and report information to Plant Management. Prepare mid-month flash that should be previewed with Plant Managers before submitting to Regional Controller. Responsible for capitalizing assets, tracking capital spending on a monthly basis, and assisting with capital project management by partnering with site and project specific engineering teams. Project management encompasses the existing EMEAI model including but not limited to spend tracking, recurring steering committee reporting, post project completion payback validation, etc. In regional finance support will be leveraged where applicable. The skills and experience we are ideally looking for Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Accounting/finance experience. Previous supervisory/managerial experience preferred. Good analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
