SLC now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team here within the Technology Group in SLC. In this role, you will be part of an agile cross-functional development team driving the design, support and development of SLC’s DevOps capability, developing processes and techniques to move this capability forward. You will assist in the development of approaches for the codification and automation of continuous integration, continuous delivery and testing pipelines to release frequent and incremental improvements to support unification and automation of application processes across path-to-live environments on both new and legacy applications. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. What you bring: Bachelor's degree/HND in Computer Science/Information Technology (or equivalent relevant experience) with very good understanding of data security principles Advanced Linux system administration skills with experience in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and automation platforms (Jenkins/GoCD) Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling in a Financial Services environment, with emphasis on secure development workflows Expertise in version control systems (Git/SVN) and collaborative workspace tools (Microsoft Teams, Confluence, JIRA) Very good interpersonal and team collaboration skills with the ability to liaise effectively across service teams and manage dependencies Very good organisational skills with the ability to identify gaps, prioritise work, and promote best practices You can expect more from a career with SLC.
