Who are Medequip Connect?
Medequip Connect provides services to over 10,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home.
We help to maintain people’s independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day. Our care technology services provide peace of mind to you, your family, and your friends.
About the role
As the Technician for Medequip Connect, you will be responsible for facilitating the installation of TEC equipment, providing a professional support service, in alignment with TSA & contractual standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Completing installations, repair, maintenance and collection of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) equipment.
* Identifying the clients’ current needs by completing/updating appropriate assessments.
* Setting up client equipment and processing/recycling returned equipment and cleaning it.
* Updating the client record database.
* Reporting and actioning faulty equipment.
* Being responsible for stock and undertaking auditing of the stock.
* Ensuring any company vehicle and any tools or equipment is properly maintained.
* Assisting in any projects as and when required.
* Providing information and coaching to individuals in the use of their alarm equipment.
* Working with the clients, their families, and third parties such as GPs, nurses, social workers, and voluntary groups.
* Assisting the Area Manager with the promotion of Medequip Connect in the area and establishing links within local communities to raise awareness of our services.
* Pointing the client in the right direction for advice, information, and support, and ensuring preventative action by effective signposting.

Qualifications and experience required
* Full UK Driving License.
* Ideally some experience in a similar role and industry.
* Good customer service skills and excellent communication.
