Job Description Summary We are seeking a technical, client-focused Lead Solutions Specialist to join our Services team. In this role, you will leverage your understanding of emerging energy industry trends and their impact on utilities to support our GridOS deployments and work closely with customers to understand and define their requirements, develop technical proposals, and implement GE digital solution. As a "Lead Services Engineer - GridOS", you will act as the technical lead, as well as an individual contributor, on these engagements, contributing to software implementation, design and configuration of data models, troubleshooting, customizations, upgrades, and integration into customer systems while balancing scope versus project time and resource commitments. This role is expected to deliver, develop and tailor GridOS modules to fit the customer needs. A strong understanding of electrical network data structures, GIS technologies, and SCADA/ADMS systems is essential. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsibilities: - Serve as a technical leader or mentor and lead the implementation of GridOS solutions, owning technical deliverables for assigned area of work for various business cases throughout the project lifecycle, either within individual project teams and/or cross-organizationally. - Engage with utility clients in providing the expert knowledge and experience to collaborate to identify technical requirements and estimate the technical effort required to implement complex software solutions. - Contribute to technical analysis activities, such as requirements gathering and gap analysis of user requirements. - Oversee the design and development of data models tailored for electrical network data, relevant GridOS systems, and support business intelligence and analytical needs. Deliver detailed design specifications as per customer requirements. - Collaborate with Project Managers, Delivery Managers and Services Consultants throughout the project to identify and scope applications changes while adhering to the change management process. - Lead the integration of models into ETL processes and maintain data pipelines for electrical networks. - Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, influencing decisions on design, resourcing and functionality. - Effectively leverage product capability, driving standardization, documenting standard works, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions. - Utilize experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment systems to enhance project delivery. - Interact with Product Development Team, Commercial Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner / Integrators), and other cross-functional teams as required for the solution and implement processes to ensure best use of GE Digital products and services. - Maintain strong customer relational and communication skills. - Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with peers and team members as an inclusive team member, supporting pre-sale strategy (as needed) and project execution. - Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous testing, validation, and documentation. - Lead debugging efforts, document issues for testing teams, and manage issue triage with third parties as required. - Ensure go-live readiness, provide support, and conduct post-live checkups, working collaboratively with internal team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction. - Mentor and guide the junior service engineers, fostering a culture of passion and technical excellence. - Effectively apply GE execution methodology and project standards reducing waste where necessary. - Maintain and continuously update technical skills and knowledge, staying current with the latest trends and technologies in electrical network systems, and recommending improvements as necessary. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Essential Criteria - Significant experience in industrial systems related field. - Programming experience in software development, including enterprise software and large distributed systems. - Practical experience with Web Technologies such as such as HTML 5, Javascript, CSS and JQuery - Significant experience in software analysis, design, methodology, implementation and architecture - Deep Knowledge with Windows, Linux, .NET, SQL databases, Web Services and Microservices technologies - Good understanding of Git, Confluence, Jira, Ansible, Nexus, Spring, Maven, Kubernetes, docker technologies - Experience with data extraction and conversion and data modelling. Desired Characteristics: - Proven experience in data modelling, particularly with electrical network data and GIS technologies. - Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) or similar tools for data transformation and integration is beneficial. - Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and orchestration - Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps such as Git, Confluence, Jira, Ansible, Nexus, Spring, Maven, and Helm charts - Hands on experience within REST, Web Services/SOAP, XML, JSON and message queueing(MQ) technologies. - Proficiency in data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, MS Access, or similar, and GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS. - Strong experience in CIM data modelling, loading and troubleshooting. - Cybersecurity knowledge. - Experience with virtual machines and virtualizations (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V) - Strong understanding of microservice architecture and software development. - Certifications in cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud are a plus. - Utility integration experience with SCADA, ADMS, OMS, and other operational grid management system.
