Cityworx is currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead for a client who is a adult nurse-led community care provider. The role involves several key responsibilities: Client Oversight: The Clinical Lead will be responsible for overseeing a number of adult clients living in the community. This includes managing and monitoring their care plans to ensure they are receiving appropriate care tailored to their individual needs. Staff Upskilling: A significant part of the role involves upskilling Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to perform specific tasks related to the care of the client. This will require the Clinical Lead to provide training and support to ensure that HCAs are competent and confident in their roles. Representation at Meetings: The Clinical Lead will represent the client at meetings with Commissioners and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) when discussing referrals. This aspect of the role will require excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively advocate for the client's needs and coordinate with various healthcare providers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Providing high-quality clinical care using advanced qualifications, alongside offering clinical leadership, advice, and support to the team. • Leading and supporting the nursing and care team within the facility, including supervising nurses and care staff daily and through formal clinical supervision. • Coordinating and executing clinical research projects aimed at improving patient health outcomes. • Ensuring that care is delivered according to the latest guidelines and best practice evidence. • Developing service plans as part of the strategic direction of the organization and working with transformation teams. • Maintaining high standards of care, including infection prevention and control procedures. Essential Skills and Qualifications • Extensive clinical experience and evidence of ability to maintain and monitor high standards of care. • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team and fostering a multidisciplinary approach. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively liaise with the wider healthcare team. • A registered nurse qualification with advanced clinical practice skills is essential, and additional leadership or prescribing qualifications are often preferred. • Ability to act within professional boundaries and provide care from initial history taking through to the evaluation of care. Working Environment and Conditions • Clinical Leads may work in various settings such as hospitals, and within the clients home in the community or other care facilities. • The Clinical Lead will be responsible for managing their own diary and work load.
