What you’ll be doing:
* Providingadvice on product safety matters to project and engineeringmanagers delivering the programmes and ensuring the safetyconsiderations are correctly considered andimplemented
Engagingwith third parties, to review and gather supporting Design SafetyJustification (DSJ) reportevidence Developingsafety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriatesafety analyses methods, producing, and updating DSJ’s and safetymanagement documentation using appropriate regulations andstandards LineManaging other safety practitioners in yourteam
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Degree levelqualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject(Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/Science)
Broadknowledge of industry safety standards (such as Def Stan 00-055 and00-056, IEC 61508 orsimilar) Demonstrableexperience in safety engineering activities in the defence,maritime or a relevant highly regulateddomain
Desirable:
* Goodcommunication skills and ability to interact and managestakeholders

The Safety &Environmental team:
You will have the opportunity to workwithin a team of engineers and technical specialists to help usdesign, develop, integrate, manage, and support complex systems andcombat sub-systems for in service and future submarines. We offerrelocation support packages across all Submarine roles, subject tomeeting eligibility criteria.
