We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Winsford to assist with the appointment of a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant, on a 1.5-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.10 - £14.78 per Hour
Summary:
The Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant will be responsible for ensuring efficient dispensary operations by accurately handling and dispensing medicines while maintaining compliance with legal, professional, and company standards. This role involves assisting in pharmacy services, providing accurate medication advice, and supporting prescription management.
Responsibilities:
1. Dispensing & Operations: Ensure the accurate handling, labeling, and dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions while complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
2. Customer & Patient Care: Deliver safe and effective medication advice, including over-the-counter (OTC) guidance, ensuring customers receive a high standard of care.
3. Pharmacy Services Support: Assist in the ordering of medicines, stock management, and prescription endorsements, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing losses.
4. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all activities comply with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) regulations and relevant company policies.
Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or Dispensing Assistant qualification completed via a GPhC-accredited provider.
2. Active NHS Smartcard (preferred).
3. Experience working in a community pharmacy.
4. Knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., Pharmacy Manager).

3. This role requires a basic DBS.
