We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Mochdre, Wales. As a Procurement Manager you will have responsibility and accountability for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met considering price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. This role has a strong emphasis on negotiating and supplier management. You will also be responsible for managing the purchasing team, defining the procurement strategy and supporting the end-to-end process from sourcing through to goods in.
Key duties and responsibilities... .

o Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice; You will develop a procurement vision, strategies, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve procurement performance.
o Leading, developing and engaging the Purchasing department; You will work closely with the existing purchasing team to support them and build upon their current skills.
o Building upon the positive relationships that exists within our supply base; You will implement a supplier management system and a process to manage the procurement of packaging and consumables.
o Negotiate and manage contract terms; You will work with the supply base to negotiate prices for existing products. You must ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms are all closely monitored.
