The role An exciting opportunity has arisen for existing Senior Authorised Person’s (SAP’s) to join our Major Projects team as a Project Delivery Engineer, based at various locations throughout Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity at a time of significant and fascinating change within the energy sector, and our distribution network will be at the heart of achieving net zero. As a Project Delivery Engineer, you will be an integral part of achieving this. Where will you be located? We have vacancies across Yorkshire and you may be based at locations including York, Sheffield, Castleford, Brigg and Hull. What will you do? •Delivery and management of varied technical construction projects safely and to time, cost and quality. •Operate on the distribution network as an SAP at all voltages from 11kV to 132kV. •Deliver capital reinforcement projects on the HV and EHV networks. •Deliver new connection projects, including both demand and generation customers. •Manage all aspects of outage planning for your allocated projects, including preparing and executing emergency plans. •Participate in an operational standby rota once authorised What’s the package? •Along with a competitive salary of £52,279 - £71,492 we also offer great benefits such as: •Opportunity for overtime and standby payments once appropriately authorised. •Agile working arrangements. •Enrolment into our double-matched pension scheme •25 days holiday (rising with service) •Car allowance / company car scheme •Payment of professional fees •Excellent opportunities for career growth Key Responsibilities • Operations on the network at all voltages up to and including 132kV • Setting staff to work under safe systems of work • Effective site management of resources, including contractors. • Delivery of Projects to time, cost and quality. • Lead project safety management and supervision • Outage and Emergency Return to Service planning to minimise network outage risks during the project Key Competencies • Operational experience and authorisations, including the ability to become Senior Authorised to 132kV • Detailed knowledge of safety procedures, specifically CDM regulations, and the Distribution Safety Rules. • Ability to undertake plant and equipment commissioning • Extensive experience of delivering projects to time, cost and quality • Ability to plan, control and co-ordinate short to medium term project resources We’re excited to hear from candidates with existing Senior Authorised Person authorisations along with a passion for our company and the industry and a desire to succeed.
