An exciting opportunity has risen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our endoscopy team in a new post as a dedicated Clinical Nurse educator for endoscopy on a 1-year fixed term contract.
You will work in collaboration with the endoscopy management team to assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of staff training programmes, monitoring and evaluating all training including supporting in mandatory training compliance with the aim to maintaining and enhancing the clinical skills of the endoscopy unit.
This role will have both clinical and leadership components, the successful candidate will need to be able to work autonomously under pressure and manage the mental and emotional demands of the role that requires flexibility, exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills.
You will work under the direction of the Endoscopy Unit Manager and Lead nurse in supporting learners in the workplace.
You will involve working with a range of learners such as those undertaking programmes for overseas and return to practice, supervised practice, pre and post registration programmes and those in bands 3-5.
You will work with the department to share knowledge and skills and support to their colleagues through education.
You will enhance the quality of the practice-learning environment by providing support, educational input and development for mentors / educators and through acting as a role model in clinical practice with learners.
You will be expected to use your own initiative, analytical skills and Judgement to work autonomously to identify objectives.
You will be responsible for promoting evidence-based practice through the facilitation of clinical education and staff development strategies to a range of health care professionals working in the unit.
You will support the delivery of high-quality standards and act as a role model to others whilst demonstrating the Trusts ‘OAK’ values (Optimistic, Appreciative and Kind)
