We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our Winchester-based team.
Salary: £60-£65k (plus annual bonus)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and maintenance of middleware services to integrate the frontend with backend APIs using Python and/or Node.js.
2. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement advanced product features.
4. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across multiple platforms.
5. Architect and optimise RESTful APIs, backend services, and middleware.
6. Drive DevOps processes, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and delivery.
7. Develop data-driven features, leveraging AI and automation to continuously improve the system.
8. Conduct and oversee code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure high standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Equivalent commercial experience or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development (Django, Flask, FastAPI) frameworks.
3. Strong understanding of relational databases (Postgres).
4. Proven experience in leading development projects and mentoring junior developers.
5. Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React, or VueJS is a plus.
6. Experience working in a Continuous Deployment (CD) environment is another plus.
