Role: Maths Teacher

Contract: Part-Time, Permanent
Working days/Hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:45 - 16:45, term time only
Salary: £25,410 - £39,300 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Long-Term Teachers are working with a specialist SEMH school in Trowbridge that supports students aged 16-25 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This school is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students can develop their academic skills and personal resilience, preparing them for life beyond education.
The role:
We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Maths Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons, ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering Maths lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
* Creating a positive and structured learning environment that fosters engagement and confidence.
* Adapting teaching strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
* Working closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure students' holistic development.
* Encouraging resilience, creativity, and teamwork in learning.
What we’re looking for:
* A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) is preferred, but we will consider professionals with other teaching qualficiations and relevant Maths teaching experience
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs or other special educational needs (SEND)
* The ability to differentiate lessons and create an inclusive environment
* A positive and patient approach, with a passion for supporting students who may face challenges in their learning
