Band 5 - Mental Health Nurse
Salary: Up to £38,000 + Enhancements
37.5 hours per week

Located within beautiful, landscaped gardens, this hospital provides a range of inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. With a mission to support people in living their best life within a safe and therapeutic environment, the hospital offers acute mental health units for adult male and female patients.
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration. They will have a strong commitment to service improvement and quality of care, as well as excellent communication skills. Adaptable, innovative, and knowledgeable about NMC standards and best practices, the candidate will be motivated to contribute to a dynamic and therapeutic setting that prioritizes patient wellbeing.
About You
* Qualifications: RMN qualification and a valid UK NMC Pin
* Skills: Demonstrates a positive attitude, commitment to service improvement, quality, and ability to adopt flexible approaches to care.
* Communication: Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills; IT proficiency.

The role of the Mental Health Nurse includes, but is not limited to:
* Providing nursing care on the ward and acting as a named nurse for a specific group of patients.
* Collaborating with patients and their families to assess, plan, and deliver individualized care that reflects patients' needs, choices, and wishes.
* Observing, engaging, and communicating with Service Users to assess needs and monitor progress.
* Promoting and adhering to the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model.
* Participating in quality improvement processes and clinical governance.
* Providing clear and accessible information about care to Service Users and their families.
* Acting as the Nurse in Charge on the ward, ensuring a safe environment.
* Maintaining thorough clinical records and clear communication within the team.
* Supporting and contributing to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) practice.
* Adhering to national guidelines and professional codes of practice.
