This specialist building services design consultancy are looking for an electrical design engineer to join their friendly experienced team of engineers. They design a lot of different technical environments, projects have included military manufacturing plants, data centres, marine engineering departments, engine design suites and large and complex plant rooms. It important to note that low carbon design is at the core of everything they do.
It’s a modern creative consultancy and as such the engineers contributions are recognised and people treated as individuals.
Responsibilities
* Undertake Electrical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects. Including undertaking calculations on cable sizing, lighting selections etc
* Attend project meetings with clients and other design team members, contractors and other stakeholders.
* Carry out site surveys for projects, to obtain all relevant information required for carrying out scheme design.
* Carry out detailed scheme designs enabling competitive tenders to be obtained for the works.
* Write specifications for the works.
* Taking opportunities to learn and develop your skills as an engineer
* To work with a focus on low carbon design.
Experience Required
* Building Services Degree or Electrical Design Degree or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND)
* At least 2 years experience electrical design within building services
* Experience in maintaining and building good working relationships.
* Technical design experience should include electrical calculations, drawings, specifications.
* Experience using design software
* Hold a full UK driving license.
