About the role
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring students in their understanding and appreciation of Science from Years 7 to 11, with a special emphasis on A level Chemistry. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Science and other departmental colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that challenge and extend the students' learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include attending to the academic and pastoral needs of your pupils, contributing to the extra-curricular life of the school, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. You will have access to well-maintained, purpose-built laboratories and a variety of resources to support your teaching practice, making it an ideal environment for practical scientific exploration.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a September 2025 start date.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher who has a strong enthusiasm for their subject and demonstrates excellent communication skills. You will also be a good Honours graduate in one of the Science disciplines. You should possess the ability to teach Science to Years 7 to 11. It would also be desirable to be able to teach at least two Science disciplines to GCSE level and have a commitment to co-curricular activities. The ideal candidate will be a team player, eager to contribute to the school's vibrant community, uphold our ethos, and promote student well-being and achievement. Your creativity, energy, and high expectations will help cultivate a stimulating learning environment for our pupils.
