The role
As a Reception Centre First Line Manager, you’ll be responsible to the Reception Centres Manager for the management and service provision for Camels Head and Granby Reception Centres within Devonport, in line with the MOD Reception Centre contractual obligations.
Day-to-day, you’ll review and continually improve processes, to ensure a fully functional and efficient receptions centre environment is maintained.
1. Oversight and management of personnel/HR matters for Access Officers and Customer Service Officers.
2. Assist with the development and implementation of processes to continually improve efficiencies and effective outputs that are value for money.
3. Monitor the customer experience and enhance service delivery, providing monthly reports to the MOD.
4. Provide line management to Access Officers and Customer Service Officers.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential Experience Of The Reception Centre First Line Manager
1. Proven experience as a line manager with strong leadership skills.
2. Experience in developing a successful team.
3. Ability to deal with conflict.
4. Ability to write and develop coherent, well-advised analytical reporting.
5. Knowledge of theory and practical aspects of security within a major company serving the public sector.
Qualifications For The Reception Centre First Line Manager
1. Management qualification (or relevant experience).
2. GCSE English and Maths C or above (or equivalent).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
