We are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join our team in the West Midlands Region, based at our Bromsgrove office. This role involves supporting foster carers and the children placed with them, promoting their safe care and development.
The Children's Family Trust is a well-established Ofsted Outstanding Registered Charity and an Independent Fostering Agency providing a wide range of foster placements. We believe our Foster Carers are our most valuable resource, deserving the highest levels of support and remuneration.
This role requires a degree-qualified, registered Social Worker with experience in the field, a full driving licence, and up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation. You will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and monitoring foster carers, ensuring they provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
* Recruiting, assessing, and monitoring foster carers to ensure they provide a safe and healthy environment for children and young people.
* Supporting foster carers to evidence their competence against training standards and providing regular supervision.
* Contributing to foster carer annual reviews and participating in negotiations with local authorities to ensure children and young people are matched with suitable foster carers.
* Completing paperwork and procedures in relation to significant incidents and notifiable events.
* Attending training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of legislation.
