We are looking for a Mechanical Services Supervisor to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis: Key responsibilities Responsible for carrying out or supervising installation of plumbing, heating and mechanical systems by in house maintenance/mechanical teams throughout properties and checking work is completed to a satisfactory standard and within a timely manner. Work closely with subcontracted maintenance teams on schedule of maintenance work throughout all properties and plan to a yearly schedule. Liaise with departments to arrange for maintenance/mechanical works to be carried out in various properties. Check all certification is carried out & documented to current gas safe regulations. Liaise regularly with the Department Manager ensuring that they are aware of all work being carried out. Provide a point of contact service for day-to-day questions and problems regarding equipment, materials, methods, and procedures. Seek approval and place orders for parts, equipment and contractor assigned work. Maintain an adequate inventory of back up equipment and replacement parts. In the event of any emergency or in case of unusual circumstances, respond to the situation to the best of ability even though the situation normally requires a person of a different trade. To adhere to all of the Company's policies and procedures. Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence. To be on call/standby. To carry out PPM (planned preventative maintenance). Any additional duties as and when required. Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities Proven practical experience and knowledge of building maintenance/mechanical installations including AHUs & FCUs. City and Guilds Domestic Plumbing and Heating Level 1 and 2. Advanced City and Guilds Domestic Plumbing and Heating Level 3 Good working Knowledge of Gas appliances and be Gas Safe. Knowledge of unvented systems/unvented ticket. To hold or to have held commercial gas qualifications CoDNCO1, TPCP, ICPN1, CDGA1. Knowledge of commercial catering gas safety CCCN1. Water regulations ticket. Knowledge of building codes, rules and regulations. Ability to produce written reports, plans, and operational procedures in clear concise language. Accurate and close attention to detail. Logical approach to problem solving. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent communication, listening and motivational skills, particularly when under pressure. Strong planning and organizational skills. Proven supervisor & mechanical experience.
