Be prepared to be peer observed in teaching delivery to allow development of your teaching skills and to have regular active feedback from colleagues. Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment and evaluation of HCA fundamental care delivery and HCA clinical skills in a variety of settings to work toward completion of The Care Certificate.Act as a role model for high standards of fundamental care delivery to patients at all times and HCA related clinical skills .Teaching clinical skills, such as Observations and NEWS, on the HCA induction programme, care certificate and HCA CPD programme on a regular basis with support from the practice education team.Support assessors in practice area's in understanding of care certificate documentation and assist in problem solving.To assist and provide named supervisor/assessor support for candidates registered on the Care Certificate programme.To provide clinical or developmental support for other HCSW by working one to one or within the clinical area .Complete other administrative tasks as delegated.Occasional requirement to directly give feedback to HCA's on poor performance and manage their distress followed up by contributing to an action plan and communication with their manager/assessor and practice educator / development colleagues.Be responsible for own personal development, including keeping up to date with Mandatory training and training relevant to the area of practice. Work to and promote adherence to Trust policy at all times.
