Job Details You will be based at Bankhead Central but will be required to provide short notice cover at Leven, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline bus station to oversee the day-to-day operations within the Council owned bus station in a safe and effective manner and to provide a “customer focused” point of contact for all users of the facility. The job will require short notice working on a relief basis which may involve working on Saturdays and Sundays as well as evening working. This vacancy is primarily required to cover for unforeseen workloads, sickness and holiday relief as and when necessary. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the bus station on a relief basis, ensuring that operators comply with the conditions of use as well as providing a customer focused point of contact providing advice and travel information to the users of the bus station. You will carry out daily administrative tasks and regular inspections of the facility in addition to supervising the public areas and ensuring the security and wellbeing of customers. The Person Educated to SCQF level 4, which includes National 4 or Standard Grades at General level or O Grades or equivalent. Previous experience of working in a public transport role is desirable as is experience in a similar environment/facility. Proven customer care skills are also essential. You should possess basic IT skills, team working skills, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
