Our client is looking to appoint a Senior Building Surveyor into their Building Design practice - based in Manchester.
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to construction, on their expanding portfolio of challenging projects across the Market Sectors.
Responsibilities of Senior Building Surveyor:
1. Working across a number of projects in different sectors, providing a range of Building Surveying duties.
2. Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project by project basis.
3. Provision of:
1. Building pathology.
2. Design and specification of projects including Net Zero schemes.
3. Project management.
4. Pre and post contract duties for projects.
5. Due Diligence Surveys, Condition surveys.
6. Contract administration.
7. The use and application of standard forms of building contracts, ideally both JCT and NEC.
8. Designer level ability as defined by the CDM Regulations.
Experience Required for Senior Building Surveyor:
1. BSc (Hons) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
2. Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
3. Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying experience.
4. Good team working skills and ability to communicate well at all levels.
5. Prepared to travel within the region, and into other regions where required.
6. Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.
7. To liaise with senior colleagues to help build a profitable service and positive, high performing team environment.
8. Strong IT skills, Word and Excel as a minimum. Candidates should be able to produce, edit and format documents.
9. Good ability with AutoCAD and experience of Revit would be an advantage.
10. An awareness of BIM.
11. Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
