Job summary We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified general practitioner (GP) to join Marlborough Surgery under the NHS Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering comprehensive healthcare to our diverse patient population. This fixed-term salaried contract runs for 12 months, with a strong likelihood of extension depending on PCN funding available. We are seeking a GP with excellent communication skills, strong clinical expertise, and a commitment to a patient-centred approach. The job is for 6 sessions per week. Main duties of the job The main duties of this role include, but are not limited to: Conducting face-to-face, telephone consultations, and undertaking on-call duties. Prescribe as per local & national guidelines. Performing patient home visits and nursing home visits. Prescribe as per local & national NICE guidelines. Managing routine and urgent appointments, providing safe and evidence-based individualised patient care. Prescribe as per local & national guidelines. Checking and signing repeat prescriptions. Handling administrative tasks such as dealing with queries, patient test results, referral letters (NHS/private), tasks, emails, and other paperwork in a timely manner. Work with other health and social care providers to ensure a safe and integrated service. Provide comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment for the registered practice population. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of consultations using SystmOne. To provide clinical support to other members of staff, both clinical and administrative, in achieving the highest possible standards of care and QOF and Enhanced Services targets.
