Our UK & Europe Sales team combines deep product and industry knowledge and focuses on bringing Plaid to an ever-broadening set of businesses. The person coming into this role will be a builder and excited about the opportunity to lead Plaid’s UK & Europe sales organisation. We operate in a highly competitive market and we’re looking for action-oriented and thoughtful leaders to build, motivate and inspire the team to achieve aggressive sales targets while bringing demonstrable value to our customers. This is an exciting time for Plaid Europe and we’re looking for a leader to springboard us into the next phase of growth and impact.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the success of the Start-Up / Mid Market Management business, which includes leading a team tasked with closing all inbound deals and generating outbound pipeline.
* Acting as player/coach, leveraging their own sales expertise to motivate, attract, train and retain talent across their organisation.
* Set clear targets, a team vision and ensure the team is tracking against/ahead of goals regularly.
* Develop and own all team cadences, ensuring the team is learning from one another and motivating one another to achieve aggressive sales targets.
* Build strong executive relationships with top accounts.
* Working cross-functionally across the UK & Europe team as well as sales leadership in the US to identify points of leverage and product gaps.
* Working with leaders across the UK & Europe team to drive efficiency, purpose and clarity for the broader UK & Europe organisation.
* Own the ACV target for their area, and develop plans to exceed that target and/or get it back on track throughout the year.
Qualifications
* 5-7+ years in an Account Executive role, a strong history of quota attainment success, and increasing management experience.
* Prior experience selling SaaS in relevant industries such as Payments, Fintech, Lending, Wealth, Infrastructure.
* Strong communication skills including presentation, writing and the ability to explain technical concepts concisely.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and engage existing teams while clear demonstration of recruiting and up-skilling new talent.
