For over 35 years BA Pumps & Sprayers has been New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of agriculture spraying and viticulture equipment.
With businesses in New Zealand and Australia, we are looking for a part-time Graphic Designer, to be based at Hautapu, Cambridge, approximately 15 hours a week, who can sit alongside the Marketing Manager and design marketing collateral for both the New Zealand and Australian business.
Responsibilities
As our new graphic designer, you will report to and work with the Marketing Manager. You will also work with the National Sales Managers for both New Zealand and Australia, and the Branch Manager for our dealership in Marlborough to design a range of marketing collateral for print and digital.
You will be responsible for generating design concepts, executing revisions, and meeting deadlines.
More responsibilities in detail:
* Design items for print and digital so that information is easy to find, read, and understand.
* Ownership of the BA Buyer’s Guide and bi-annual product catalogue, Full Tank.
* Creating design assets for new product launches.
* Gather all relevant facts for each project and ensure that all deliverables communicate the correct information.
* Generate clear ideas, concepts, and designs of creative assets from beginning to end.
* Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes the Marketing Manager, National Sales Managers for New Zealand and Australia, and General Manager.
* Translate information about the client’s business and customers into designs that are visually enticing, easy to understand, and emotionally impactful.
* Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the visual design field.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s in graphic design or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
* A strong portfolio that showcases design problem-solving abilities.
* A high level of proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite.
* Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
* The ability to receive, interpret, and implement constructive feedback from the team into your design work.
* Able to learn new tools and processes quickly and work in a fast-evolving environment.
It is vital you would have a personality that is self-driven, task-focused, helpful, honest, approachable, and can easily anticipate the needs of others.
Additional Information
* Part-time - approximately 15 hours per week, flexible working options if required, which can be split into hours and days whichever work for you.
* Possible extended hours during our busy or promotional events.
* Laptop provided.
