Pupil Support Assistant - Visual Impairment Team - Fixed term for 12 months
Additional Support for Learning Service
Salary: £25,322 to £27,727 (Pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 31 hours per week, 39 weeks sessional
This post is to work specifically with children with visual impairments. Training and support will be provided from within the VI team.
The Additional Support for Learning service is a peripatetic service and applicants must be willing to work anywhere in the city.

Example: A PSA on Grade 4 with less than 5 years' service working 31 hours per week for 39 weeks, would be paid:
At lowest scale point: £25,322 x 45.6/52.18 weeks x 31/36 hours = £19,055 per year (£1,587 per month before tax/NI)
At highest scale point: £27,727 x 45.6/52.18 weeks x 31/36 hours = £20,865 per year (£1,738 per month before tax/NI)
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
