Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts/Payroll Assistant to join our Client's team in Sandwich. This position involves providing essential support in payroll and accounting functions, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring smooth financial operations. The role also includes engaging with clients and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities: Accurately process payroll on a weekly and monthly basis. Handle pension auto-enrolments. Process timesheets and expenses. Assist and provide coverage for the Senior Payroll Administrator. Manage DEA payments. Submit EPS for maternity payments. Make weekly payments to clients. Assist in VAT returns and other statutory filings. Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations. Reconcile bank accounts weekly. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with industry standards. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in payroll. Strong understanding of payroll processing, accounting systems, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
