We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, or York. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of practical work experience skills. Initially supporting the delivery of consents (Schedule 17 and Schedule 33) for major infrastructure projects. Be an integral member of the Planning & Consents Discipline, developing the technical capability of the discipline. Support and assist the Planning & Consents team with project deliverables and with the general operations of the team. Contribute to technical excellence within the discipline. Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation in the discipline. Assist the Planning & Consents team in developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery and the quality of outputs within the team and on multiple projects. Maintain strong working relationships, communication, knowledge sharing, and innovation sharing with SYSTRA resource centres worldwide and our industry partners and supply chain. Assist and support the team in client engagement to provide a deeper understanding of future needs and to position SYSTRA in the UK market. Participate in industry events to engage with new clients and partners. Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of market drivers, developments, and key innovations in discipline. Contributing to safety leadership in the discipline, ensuring monthly cascades are attended, championing close-call reporting, and demonstrating openness and commitment to improving safety. Identifying tools, processes, IT and software requirements in the discipline and standardisation wherever possible in line with project requirements. Ideally a Chartered Environmentalist (or similar CSci, C.WEM), or seeking chartership Experience in consenting infrastructure projects and/or Environmental Delivery/PM Contribution to applications for statutory consents, preparing consent documents, working with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities Experience of obtaining consents required to deliver planning, environmental and highway related consents Why SYSTRA?
