Assistant Headteacher – Student and Family Support Specialist (SFSS)
This is a wonderful opportunity to join the school at a very exciting time as we continue to expand our provision and pupil numbers across the school, as well as provide further opportunities for career development and CPD.
The Assistant Headteacher will be expected to undertake all the professional duties of a teacher, under the terms and conditions specified in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document and under the reasonable direction of the Headteacher.
In fulfilment of all responsibilities and duties, the Assistant Headteacher must show a commitment to the aims, policies, and ethos of the school, and strive to maintain these through personal conduct and effective relationships with colleagues and pupils.
We are a positive, pro-active, and professional school and require staff who are ambitious, creative, and passionate to work with our wonderful pupils.
Nexus invests in its pupils' and staff's experience and development, so we welcome you to join our team to have a great day and exciting career.
All staff receive a comprehensive induction programme. We have a very supportive leadership team. Culture is vital to us; it’s not only what we do but how we do it that matters to us. Relationships across the whole school staff team are positive, inclusive, and helpful. We welcome an annual conversation with your line manager to discuss flexible working patterns on both the individuals and the school's needs.
Our SEN school, which caters to children with profound, severe, and complex needs, is built on foundations of innovation, excellence, and inspiration. Our school can provide a blank canvas for the right leader to inspire change and instil a legacy of aspirational outcomes for our children.
We hope you come and visit and look forward to hearing from you. Please email nicki.riddle@nexusschool.org.uk to arrange a visit.
In line with KCSIE 2024 guidance, as part of the shortlisting process, Nexus reserves the right to conduct an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence and to share any pertinent information found concerning a candidate’s suitability to work with children with the Headteacher.
