Full job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in all aspects of food and beverage operations to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant within the Hotel. This is a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the restaurant, which will include carrying out management duties within the hotel. The Restaurant Manager must be people-focused, demonstrating excellent guest service at all times.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the smooth running of all day-to-day operations of the Restaurant.
* Achieve sales and profit targets, manage budgets and control expenditure.
* Ensure compliance with current licensing, health and safety, food safety, and fire safety regulations.
* Ensure that the highest standards of guest care are achieved at all times.
* Carry out Duty Manager shifts as per the management rota.
* Address problems and troubleshoot.
* Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Continuously develop and enhance standards throughout the restaurant and hotel.
* Complete reporting in an appropriate and timely fashion.
* Assist with the effective management of team budgets within the department.
* Recruit, train, develop, and motivate team members.
* Deal with appropriate contractors and suppliers.
* Ensure effective security measures are in place.
* Liaise with HODs to ensure continuous development of standards and sales throughout the hotel.
* Liaise with the Operation Manager and Head Chef on the continued development of F&B Departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* Business and people management are equally important elements.
* Must be able to set an example for the team to deliver a standard of service that meets guests’ needs and exceeds expectations.
* Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business.
