We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Building team based on the prestigious 105 Victoria Street project based in London.
What you'll do:
1. Act as a key member of the commercial team to provide package procurement, cost control and ensure that the financial position of a construction project is reported accurately.
2. Ensure that the financial position of a construction project is controlled effectively and maintained throughout.
3. Be aware of and manage our contractual obligations.
4. Control the cost management for the project and provide financial reporting regularly.
5. Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved and the notices required to record change. Ensure all required notices are issued in a timely manner.
6. Understand the forecast cost to completion, establish and use cost management systems.
7. Assist in risk and opportunity management (with operations team) of known and newly identified risks and opportunities for best project return.
8. Prepare subcontract documentation, issue enquiries, and negotiate agreements including interim and final accounts.
9. Utilise and comply with company procedures in relation to commercial site procedures; systems, cost control, variations of contract and method of measurement.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. Experience of working on medium to large Build projects £50million+, and have relevant experience of running significant multiple subcontract packages £5-20m.
2. Working knowledge of one or more forms of construction contracts i.e. JCT, NEC, Bespoke.
3. BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject.
4. Preferably qualified or working towards ICES or RICS accreditation.
5. SMSTS qualified with the relevant CSCS Card.
