Job Title: Science Teacher

Pay Scale: £150 - £200 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Until July 2025 (Initial cover until 30 May with pre-planned extension through June July)
The Role
Education World is currently working with a secondary school in Nottingham to recruit a full-time qualified Science Teacher for a longer-term assignment. The initial placement runs until 30th May, with a planned extension through June and July to cover a pre-arranged absence.
The current timetable includes teaching Year 7 to Year 11, and the teacher will be required to work across two school sites, with just one Year 7 lesson currently at the second site. You will also serve as a form tutor four days per week.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Science Teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in UK secondary schools
Is confident delivering Science across KS3 and KS4
Can commit to the post until at least the end of May, with a strong preference for those who can continue into June and July
Is comfortable working across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students in Years 7-11
Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement
Take on form tutor responsibilities four days a week
Plan, mark, and assess in line with the school’s policies
Liaise with colleagues and leadership to ensure smooth transitions across sites
