Regional Veterinary Director - South East
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced veterinary leader to join our team as a Regional Veterinary Director. This is a hybrid position involving spending 2/3 days per week as required at sites within Region 6.
About the role
This pivotal role is responsible for providing clinical leadership, operational support, and strategic guidance to veterinary practices across the region. Working closely with practice teams, business leaders, and support functions, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary care while driving clinical and commercial success. You will also play a key role in the development of the National clinical strategy, including an active role in the development and operational impacts of any clinical initiatives developed by the Group for implementation in the UK.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Work closely with the Country Medical Director, Chief Operating Officer, Head of HR, and Area Directors to achieve group objectives.
* Work with Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement, Acquisition teams, and other support functions to achieve the successful management of the business.
* Support our teams in delivery of the IVC clinical strategy - improving clinical care and patient outcomes for animals under our care.
* Analyse and understand the performance of designated sites, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Advise on clinical matters as required.
* Support at site-level as directed.
* Provide clinical input as required.
What are we looking for?
* Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with significant clinical experience.
* Proven leadership experience within a multi-site veterinary or healthcare setting.
* Strong understanding of veterinary practice operations, including clinical governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire veterinary teams.
* Ability to balance clinical excellence with commercial acumen, ensuring both patient care and business success.
