Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria:
* Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
* Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
* Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable criteria:
* Clinical Audit qualification
* Clinical Health Professional Registration
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria:
* Ability to analyse, interpret & present often complex data clearly using basic statistics
* Understanding of the Clinical Audit methodology
* Good understanding of current government and NHS strategy and policy in respect of clinical governance, audit and effectiveness
* Knowledge of the QI process
* Project Management including design, planning, facilitation and delivery
* Experience in design and data entry using sometimes complex databases
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present often complex data clearly using basic statistics
* Experience writing reports and proofreading
* Knowledge and experience in identifying, monitoring and resolving data quality issues
* Experience of using SMART processes
* Experience of working with clinicians and managers at a high level
* Knowledge of NICE guidance
Desirable criteria:
* Experience of clinical audit, research, quality assurance or information management within a healthcare setting
* Developing and delivering audit training programmes
* Qualitative techniques in data collection and analysis
* Acute or community healthcare service provision
Skills
Essential criteria:
* IT data entry / advanced keyboard skills
* Use of Microsoft Office packages
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present data clearly
* Investigative skills
* Good organisational / time management
* Excellent oral and written communication
