Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
1. Be a key member of the AO Software Engineering Leadership Team.
2. Work with SLT and teams to define and approve domain-driven design, aligning software teams with current and future demands.
3. Lead the definition of AO's software applications, contribute to strategic reviews, and shape application strategies and software domains.
4. Lead initiatives for technical improvements, such as enhancing security, code quality, and engineering KPIs visibility.
5. Establish and embed software design standards into delivery processes.
6. Guide improvements in software domain boundaries, provisioning, build, deployment, and DevOps cycles.
7. Serve as the technical escalation point for software teams, mentoring and coaching on software and architectural principles.
8. Contribute to educational content on clean code and software standards, sharing expertise within our community.
9. Collaborate with Tech SLT to enhance software delivery processes and KPI measurement.
A Few Things About You
You do not need to be an expert in everything, but we seek someone with a broad skill set and experience. You should have a bias for leadership, ownership, critical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will demonstrate:

* Effective communication skills tailored to various stakeholders, with empathy and influencing ability.
* Experience leading teams and supporting their professional growth.
* Skills in designing and building secure, scalable, maintainable, high-performance software.
* Understanding of legacy codebases and refactoring techniques.
* Proficiency in agile methodologies, value slicing, WJSF, WIP, and a passion for rapid deployment and low lead times.
