Our client, a major player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Process Engineer for an 8-month contract in Glascoed. This position involves working 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities: Developing manufacturing processes from concept through to commissioning and qualification Acting as the first point of contact for process queries within the team Managing process technical requirements and providing expertise in risk management processes Supporting the tendering process with engineering expertise Implementing Safe System of Work in line with company and statutory requirements Technical management of the commissioning and qualification process Supporting continuous improvement activities on existing products and processes Planning and introducing process changes in a controlled manner Job Requirements: Proven capability in developing manufacturing processes, including system integration in a defence and security context Experience in handling powders, liquids, or slurries through pressing, casting, or extrusion processes Desirable knowledge in materials technology or fluids Aptitude for learning and developing expertise in new subject areas where necessary Understanding of Non-Destructive Techniques (NDT) and Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Systems is beneficial Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team If you are a skilled Process Engineer with a background in manufacturing processes and a passion for innovation and improvement, we would love to hear from you.
