Live-In Support Worker – Mental Health and Learning Disabilities

Pay: £11.50 - £12.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)
Hours: Live-In Role (Flexible Rotas Available)
About Us
Social Care and Education is looking for Live-In Support Workers to provide one-to-one support for individuals with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and complex needs. This role requires someone with a bubbly, engaging, caring nature, who can provide emotional support while also setting and maintaining clear boundaries.
Service users may present with challenging behaviours, self-harm risks, and emotional volatility. The role involves providing stability, structure, and encouragement, while respecting independence and personal space.
Your Responsibilities
• Building positive relationships by being engaging, patient, and supportive
• Encouraging independence while offering guidance with daily tasks
• Providing emotional support and using a calm, understanding approach
• Administering medication as required
• Accompanying individuals into the community for activities, shopping, and appointments
• Preparing meals and supporting with household tasks
• Following care plans and respecting personal autonomy
• Managing challenging behaviours in a patient and professional manner
• Following missing person protocols where necessary, allowing space while ensuring safety
What We Are Looking For
• A bubbly, engaging, and caring personality who can build trust and connection
• Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and complex needs
• Ability to set clear boundaries while maintaining a caring approach
• Experience managing challenging behaviours and self-harm risks
• Ability to work independently in a live-in environment
• Medication administration experience is required
• DBS on the update system (desirable)
• Care Certificate (desirable)
