Ward 3 is due to become an outpatient facility for minor plastic and orthopaedic procedures and clinics. This is due to the re-development of the operating theatre department at Hexham General Hospital. Upon the completion of the works Ward 3 plans to revert back to a busy Orthopaedic ward with surgical capacity alongside.
We are looking for a full time ward coordinator to work along side our existing team during this exciting time and our return to speciality of Orthopaedics and General surgery.
To provide a comprehensive admin service to the Ward Manager and supporting team.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team. You will be
responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services in the ward area ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of administrative, minor maintenance and other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the ward manager.
The post holder will be required to monitor quality standards and report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
