Business Development Manager Aerospace With a focus on the UK and European aerospace sectors, we are seeking an experienced and proven Business Development Manager to develop new sales with a focus on precision cast components. Having an existing and successful history of delivering sales and new client growth, as Business Development Manager you should have an appetite and strength to support and develop our globally focused Clients\' activity within Aerospace. Working from preferably an office based location in either the Worcestershire or Kent areas, or potentially from a field based position elsewhere in the UK, the Business Development Manager will be focused on the generation and delivery of new sales for precision cast products, with \'value - add\' opportunities wherever possible. The Business Development Manager is primarily to: - Provide a proactive engineering and technical customer facing sales role for new target OEM\'s and Tier 1/2 accounts - Ensure the achievement of the sales and profit budget for all new business accounts - Provide engineering, technical and commercial support for new OEM and Tier 1 business projects from identifying prospective customers and applications, identifying and overcoming technical and engineering challenges during their development stage and to preparing, issuing and progressing detailed proposals and quotations Specific duties will include: - Provide a proactive business development role to increase the existing and future customer base, building effective relationships with potential targets - Develop business and relationships with technical and engineering contacts at allocated major accounts - To achieve individual and department sales and margin objectives - Review and classify all customer enquiries according to technical complexity, development of the manufacturing and process route, oversee the preparation of quotations and ensure they are processed and priced in accordance with company strategy - Ensure all selected leads are followed up to a positive conclusion - Continuously monitor market, technical and customer trends and ensure this information is stored and disseminated via the company information system - Provide primary technical and engineering point of contact for nominated customers and markets - Provide activity plans and report progress against these plans to the Business Development Director on a regular and timely basis - Produce corrective action plans to the Business Development Director in the event of any shortfall in budgeted sales performance This is an active sales role and is very much to support our clients\' growth in the aerospace sector in these territories.
