Role Overview:
Location: Porton Down
Salary: £25,095 per annum + OT
To ensure delivery of client goods receiving, stock holding and stock issues are delivered in accordance with client and EMCOR UK SOPs and work instructions. Regular monitoring and audit of services will be part of the job role, including data collection and analysis as part of scheduled monthly reporting to key stakeholders. This job role will be required to use an electronic procurement and inventory control system alongside Smartsheet and Excel. The ability to work methodically and with a high level of accuracy is essential to ensure effective control of goods received and stock managed.
What you'll do:
* Take accountability for the processing of stock from goods inwards to dispatch ensuring that all EMCOR UK and client processes and procedures are followed raising any issues to the Facilities Supervisor in a timely manner.
* Accountable for maintaining and controlling stock levels including stock rotation ensuring that any concerns or issues are raised to the Facilities Supervisor in a timely manner.
* Accountable for all stock checks including monthly KPI, ABC and annual stock checks, weekly critical and non-critical stock checks.
* Liaise with client MaPS teams in preparing for the annual stock check.
* Provide for presentation all evidence for Annual stock to client.
* To pick and ship items against the Client system (MAPs) for internal requisitions ensuring processes and procedures are followed correctly and that items picked are checked (accuracy is paramount for this tasking).
* Ensure all pick and ship notes are signed off by an appropriate Supervisor or colleague before being issued.
* Ensure the monthly KPI reporting is actioned and any short fall of critical stock lines is analysed with corrective actions identified and documented.
* Accountable for reporting any stock write off due to expiry, damaged or short delivery. All documentation to be kept for client audit purposes.
* To attend any client meeting regarding MaPS and upgrades that are being implemented.
* Taking responsibility for maintaining and managing non purchase order receipts, quarantine items, cold storage items ensuring that items are processed swiftly; following up enquiries through to completion and highlight any unresolved issues to the Facilities Supervisor in a timely manner.
* To make deliveries/collections for UKHSA Stores adhering to manual handling guidance and training.
* Support the Facilities Supervisor for all internal/external audits and to follow up on any corrective actions assigned.
* Housekeeping duties are undertaken regularly in Stores and storage facilities both on and off-site so that safety and good organisation is kept on point.
* To support all tasking in Stores, taking pride to follow up tasks to a conclusion and to encourage great attitude and behaviours within the Team raising any concerns or issues in a timely manner to Facilities Supervisor in the first instance.
* Undertake liquid nitrogen re-fills strictly following EMCOR LWIs and training provided.
* To support Operation Clearway (snow and ice clearance) as and when required directed by Facilities Supervisors/ EMCOR Management Team.
* Raise purchase requisitions in accordance with client SOPs and LWIs.
* To undertake chemical collections and transport to the site waste compound strictly working to EMCOR LWIs raising a dynamic risk assessment as required.
* Processing incoming mail and samples including use of x-ray machine making deliveries and collections across the campus (supporting processing of outgoing mail on occasions as required).
* Support in the delivery and collection of clean/used general laundry ensuring that laundry is processed by department and counted in/out keeping updated clear records.
* Forklift operation tasks for good inwards & movement of items working to training methods and risk assessments raising a dynamic risk assessment as required.
* Litter picking across client campus working to weekly schedule and adhoc requests.
* Being accountable and responsible for areas of responsibility taking ownership of tasks ensuring that they are undertaken to the correct standard and followed through to completion raising any issues or concerns in a timely manner to the Facilities Supervisor.
* Act upon reasonable requests and instructions from EMCOR leaders, customers, and client.
* To be able to inspire and motivate other team members to work to the EMCOR values.
Person Specification
Who you'll be:
* Previous stores/warehouse experience with a strong focus on computer based systems and spreadsheets.
* Experience of manual handling type roles.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to compile monthly electronic reports using data analysed from inventory and stock control systems.
* Full driving licence essential (confident to drive a Luton type of vehicle).
* Forklift truck licence desirable, but training would be available.
* Previous experience in a front facing customer service sector.
* Sound administrative experience with a focus on problem solving and accuracy.
* Well organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.
* Team player.
* Well-groomed/presentable.
