Summer Fields is situated in a quiet, well established residential area of Rock Ferry, near Birkenhead in the Wirral. The Home is registered as a 49-bed residential home, offering long term EMI residential care, respite, day care and short-term stays. The home is registered to care for people on an EMI residential basis as well as for people with dementia. We have an excellent local reputation, and we are a popular local choice, providing residents with a welcoming, homely environment. We are currently looking for a Team Leader to join our dedicated team.
Our aim at Summer Fields Care Home is to provide the highest standard of care in a relaxed, friendly environment with a friendly and empathetic approach. We ensure that residents are able to still enjoy the freedom and lifestyle of their choice, whilst receiving care that is appropriate to their needs built on dignity and respect, and you will play a key part in this.
Role: Team Leader
What will you be doing:
1. To be operationally responsible for your team on your shift and to meet the needs of the residents.
2. To maintain the highest standards of record keeping, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with codes of practice of the post holder's professional body and Your Health Group standards.
3. Supporting the manager of the home in its operations on a daily basis.
4. Being responsible for specific areas of the home which includes reporting and acting on information in a timely manner.
5. Ordering, administering, and keeping accurate records in respect of medication.
6. To ensure supervision arrangements for directly managed staff comply with Your Health Group policy.
7. To ensure that outside health professionals are arranged for residents when required.
8. To provide advice and consultation to staff and others about specific issues and general good practice in respect of the well-being of their staff.
9. To ensure that handovers and daily reports are completed, and daily reports are legible and accurate.
10. To ensure compliance with the regulations and requirements of the Care Quality Commission.
11. To be responsible that all care plans have been completed, legible, and accurate, reporting any discrepancies to the deputy manager.
12. To be on-call 1 in every 4 weeks.

Qualifications and Experience
1. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (required)
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience is required in a Senior Care Role.
3. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
