My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to become an integral part of their growing team. About the Role As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. Your responsibilities will include: Raising and reviewing sales invoices. Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate records. Adding new supplier/customer details to our database. Calculating VAT on purchases and managing related documentation. Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining cash flow records. Raising credit and debit notes for stock or VAT discrepancies. Providing holiday cover within the finance team. Managing credit card processing and maintaining the credit control sheet. Supporting with general administration, filing, and incoming post. What We’re Looking For Essential skills and Experience: 2-3 years in an Accounts Assistant role. Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel. Exceptional administrative and organisational skills. Calm under pressure and skilled in negotiation.
