The aim of the role is to provide leadership for the nursing and care staff within Streets Meadow whilst and supporting the development and delivery of consistently high quality clinical and care services for residents with complex health and social care needs.
The role
The Clinical Lead will ensure that Streets Meadow:
Complies with the clinical governance framework and all activities related to it. This includes participation in the clinical audit programme
Maintains colleagues’ skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
Develop monitoring and reporting systems which promote the delivery of safe, effective and high quality services.
Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used by staff.
Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
Provide leadership and support for clinical and care staff and act as a champion for resident’s safety and dignity
Provide effective leadership and support for the nursing and care team within the home.
Complete Audits as per timeframe on a weekly/monthly basis
Complete weekly clinical meetings and cascade this information to the Registered Manager for action
Ensure all assessments and needs are completed by all colleagues to ensure required compliance is
achieved.
Demand high quality service delivery focused on residents individually assessed needs. To maintain skills and knowledge and ensure that care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice
evidence available
Undertake assessments for new admissions as required to support occupancy within the home.
In addition to the above, the Clinical Lead will be expected to:
Undertake regular training required to fulfil the role to a high standard.

Person specification
Must haves:
At Least 5 years post registration experience in Nursing Home or Community environment
ENB 998 or equivalent
Experience in wound care, dementia care and end of life management and planning Venesection would be advantage but is not essential.
Evidence of managing large teams, rota provision and transformational change.
Knowledge and application of relevantlegislation e.g., Care Standards Act2000, Community Care Act
1991.
Knowledge of the risk assessment process
Knowledge of care and support planning processes
Demonstrable supervisory/management experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to plan, organise and monitor own work
Good written and verbal communication skills
Flexible approach to hours and work.
Commitment to the achievement of quality standards
Good to have:
Experience of undertaking full clinical patient assessments
Experience of working with more than one client group
Ability to contribute to service development
Substantial knowledge acquired in a similar or related setting
Full driving licence
